About Dresden
Dresden china comprises a number of factories. Amongst the most well known factories are Sitzendorf, Gotha and Volkstedt. China produced at these factories is very similar to that of Meissen. This is not surprising as Meissen is only some 15 miles away from the other factories. So similar the Volkstedt backstamp is often confused with that of Meissen.
Traditional Dresden figurines produced by these factories are little works of art, having style, character and vivid naturalness that can only be produced at Dresden.
